UPDATE ON BLACK COFFEE AND ENHLE MBALI’S DIVORCE

South African DJ Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee, was married to South African actress Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa from 2011. The pair split in 2019. Together Black Coffee and Enhle have two sons –  Anesu (14) and Asante (10). Black Coffee is reportedly a father of four, with claims of him fathering two other children out of wedlock, while married to Enhle.

The divorce between Black Coffee and Enhle was finalised in October 2025. The court ruled their 2011 customary marriage valid, entitling Enhle to 50% of marital assets, invalidating their 2017 civil marriage.

The Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) granted the DJ leave to appeal a 2025 high court ruling that validated his customary marriage to Enhle, which awarded her spousal maintenance. At the time, he was ordered to pay R15 000 spousal maintenance and R50 000 in child support. Take a look at what the appeal means here.
