Ntsiki Mazwai claims she opened the way for many

South African poet, musician, and activist Ntsiki Mazwai reflects on her own creative journey, sharing heartfelt message about her influence in multiple cultural fields.

Taking to social media, Ntsiki highlighted her contributions in beadwork, poetry, music, and podcasting, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the work she has done to pave the way for others.

She wrote: “One day we must celebrate this girl’s cultural impact in South Africa…..spanning from her beadwork, her poetry, her music and now her podcast. One day we must put down our weapons and give credit where it’s due. She has opened the way for MANY…..in each field she has entered. Those she has inspired don’t say it, but we see it in the work they produce.”

Ntsiki’s message underscores the significance of self-recognition and the impact that one individual can have across multiple creative industries.

By celebrating her own achievements, she reminds followers of the power of perseverance and innovation, as well as the influence she has had on emerging artists across South Africa.
