Miss SA live updates: Natasha Joubert takes Paris!

Natasha Joubert, who made the Miss SA top three in 2020, was crowned Miss SA 2023 at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on Sunday, 13 August. While Bryoni Govender, who was the runner up has been announced as SA’s representative for Miss Universe.

Natasha has begun her reign as Miss SA with interviews and appearances. While Miss Universe announced that Bryoni Govender will be representing South Africa at the international pageant to be held in El Salvador, central America in November this year.

Nande Mabala from the Western Cape was the second runner-up.

According to the Miss South Africa website, the organisation is a leadership platform for ambitious young South African women. Take a look at all the live updates from the pageant.

This year the finalists’ journey was a little journey. The Top 12 finalists competed for seven spots on a reality show titled Crown Chasers. So, five of the Top 12 were eliminated from the pageant.

The top seven finalists who were competing to be the next Miss SA title on Sunday were:

  • Bryoni Govender
  • Homba Mazaleni
  • Jordan van der Vyver
  • Melissa Nayimuli
  • Nande Mabala
  • Natasha Joubert

The finale was hosted by media personality Bonang Matheba.
