Laduma Ngxokolo, who is the founder of the South African contemporary brand, announced that he will be opening up a pop-up in the Big Apple.

The designer is currently in the city with his team, getting ready to sign the lease for a six-month pop-up, which is due to open on the famed Canal Street in Soho, early next year.

According to Okay Africa Laduma shared how much he loves the people in New York City.

“We’ve been in and out of New York for a few years now” he told an intimate crowd of media on Thursday night.

The Maxhosa designer continued: “The first time I came here, in 2015, I thought, ‘I like the Black people out here,’” he says. “They’re so expressive, they’re so colourful, they’re so diverse. I love the energy”.
