Radio and TV presenter, rapper and author Tebogo Thekisho, popularly known as ProVerb, has expressed gratitude following the recognition of his memoir, titled The Book of ProVerb.

This comes after his book scooped an award at the 2025 Mind To Page Writers’ Awards for Best Biography; where local authors, bloggers, poets, etc are recognised. The awards celebrate creativity and storytelling in the digital age.

The Book of ProVerb is a memoir, a hustle manifesto and an inspirational guide that details ProVerb’s personal life, career journey, and the valuable lessons he learned from various triumphs and tribulations.

With excitement, ProVerb took to his Instagram page to share the news.

“Truly honoured that my memoir The Book of ProVerb has won Best Biography Book at the From Mind to Page SA Writers’ Awards 2025,” he penned.

The former Idols SA host shared his gratitude to his co-author and the readers who bought the book.

“Deep gratitude to my co-author Sis Paballo Rampa and my publisher Penguin Random House for believing in this story, and to every reader who made the journey worthwhile.”

The rapper is also the author of To Health With It!: Reset, Realign and Redefine Your Health, Wealth and Happiness, released in October this year.

Instagram users weighed in:

Actress Lerato Mvelase said: “Now this congratulations brother. It was a great read.”

Another user said: “Amazing bro, congratulations!”

While another one added: “Congratulations! Pro.”

During an interview on SABC 1’s Sports @ 10 on Wednesday, ProVerb said he wants readers to learn, reflect and improve their lives through his books.
