South African actress Zenande Mfenyana has received an award for Best Actress in a TV Drama for her role in Inimba at the National Film and TV Awards.

Zenande portrays the character of Thumeka Mabanda on the beloved Mzansi Magic soapie, Inimba. She is a main character who tells a story of a traditional and submissive woman whose biggest desire in life was to be a wife and mother.

Recently, Thumeka can be seen facing numerous challenges that includes marital struggles, career ambitions, and navigating complex family issues.

Meanwhile, Inimba narrates a story of Zoleka Bikitsha, a businesswoman who gave birth to Qhawekazi Mabandla but chose her career over her, leading her to leave Qhawekazi for 20 years and on her return, must make amends.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page, entertainment commentator Jabulani Macdonald broke the news.
