Rugby Star Ox Nché Halts Ox Kraal Orders Amid Legal Battle

South African rugby powerhouse Ox Nché, widely celebrated for his strength in the Springboks’ forward pack, has announced a temporary pause on all orders for his lifestyle and clothing brand, Ox Kraal, citing an ongoing legal dispute affecting the online store.

In an Instagram statement, Nché reassured fans that this is a temporary measure. “We’ve hit a small bump, or should I say, technical tackle,” he said. “I’m currently working through a legal matter involving the Ox Kraal online store, which has affected order processing and deliveries.”

What’s Happening With the Ox Kraal Website?

According to Nché, he currently does not have access to Ox Kraal’s website or social media pages, which remain under the control of a third-party administrator involved in the legal matter.

He asked fans to pause online orders for the time being, promising a better and stronger experience once the dispute is resolved.

“I don’t want anyone to be left hanging without their favourite Ox gear,” Nché wrote. “This isn’t a red card, just a reset. I’m using this moment to rebuild stronger, protect the brand, and make sure your experience is as solid as an Ox scrum.”

Ox Kraal: More Than Just Merchandise

Founded by Nché, Ox Kraal has become known for its supporters’ gear and casual apparel, blending rugby culture with lifestyle products. Popular items include the “baby kraal onesie”, the “bucket hat”, and the tongue-in-cheek “salads don’t win scrums apron”, all inspired by his career and personality.

The brand name and slogan reflect Nché’s rugby philosophy. His famous line, “salads don’t win scrums,” has become a hallmark of his work ethic and no-nonsense approach on the field.

From Bloemfontein to the World Stage

Ox Nché, born Retshegofaditswe Nché, has earned a reputation as one of South Africa’s top props. Making his international debut in 2017, he has been a consistent pillar in the Springboks’ front row, celebrated for his scrummaging power, work rate, and reliability under pressure.

His nickname, “Ox,” not only references his formidable strength but also his dedication and discipline on and off the field. Through Ox Kraal, Nché has extended this connection with fans, blending his sporting career with lifestyle branding in a way few South African rugby players have achieved.

What’s Next for Ox Kraal?

While legal hurdles temporarily slow the brand, Nché promises fans that big things are coming. “Thank you for your patience and support. It means the world to me. Stay tuned … something is cooking in the kraal.”

For fans of South African rugby and Ox Kraal alike, the message is clear: this pause is temporary, but the comeback will be worth the wait.
