Shebeshxt appears in court on attempted murder charges

Controversial Limpopo musician Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today on serious charges of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.

The popular artist, known for his energetic blend of Bolo House (Lekompo), Amapiano, and rap, and whose tracks have previously gone viral on platforms like TikTok, was arrested on 12 November 2025.

The charges relate to a shooting incident that allegedly occurred on 19 October 2025 in Ladanna, a suburb of Polokwane.

The specific details of the confrontation have not been publicly confirmed.

The case has been postponed, and the musician is scheduled to return to court on 21 November 2025 to formally launch a bail application.

Chauke has previously faced legal issues, including prior charges of assault and attempted murder in 2023.
