A high-ranking official from the Alexandra Randburg Midrand Taxi Association (Armsta) has reportedly been killed in a shooting today, 30 October 2025.
The deceased has been identified as Molefe Moekeletsi, the chairperson of Armsta. The violent incident has shocked the community and left a total of two people dead and three others injured.
According to reports, the tragic event unfolded at Viola Crescent in Marlboro Gardens. Law enforcement and emergency services were called to the scene following reports of the shooting.
Officials have confirmed that two individuals are deceased and three others sustained injuries in the attack.
The incident reportedly involved multiple vehicles, with a car collision occurring near the site of the shooting.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) was quick to respond, with reports from Eyewitness News indicating that officers attended the crime scene located near the intersection of 4th Street, 8th Street, and Viola Road.
