Tyla to perform in India for the first time

Global superstar and Grammy Award-winning artist Tyla is set to make her long-awaited debut in India this December, where she’ll headline the Indian Sneaker Festival 2025 in Mumbai.

The South African hitmaker continues to extend her global reach, marking yet another major milestone in her fast-rising international career.

The festival, known for blending music, fashion, and street culture, will see Tyla share the stage with global acts including Lil Yachty, Charlotte de Witte, and Alok.

The event promises a vibrant weekend packed with music performances, sneaker showcases, and street art experiences.

In a statement, Tyla shared her excitement about performing in India for the first time, saying she’s eager to connect with her fans there.

“I’m so thrilled to be part of this festival and finally get to perform for my Indian fans,” she said.

Since the success of her chart-topping hit Water, Tyla has become one of South Africa’s biggest musical exports, earning global recognition for her seamless fusion of Afrobeats, R&B, and pop.

Her inclusion in the festival lineup reinforces her growing influence across continents and cements her position as one of the most dynamic young voices in global music.

The Indian Sneaker Festival will take place on December 6 and 7 at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai, before heading to Delhi for its next edition.
