United’s worst start ever won’t get any worse… for now

The criticism from all corners of Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has continued following the team’s draw to Aston Villa.

With the international break now underway, the only positive is that the Red Devils’ situation cannot get any worse for at least the next two weeks.

Ten Hag’s troops sit in 14th place on the Premier League table, with just eight points from their opening seven games.

The start has been so bad that even restaurant brand Domino’s Pizza could not resist attacking the Dutchman.

In a promotional campaign outside Old Trafford in Manchester, the restaurant’s advertisement read, ” You need the right people for the top jobs.”

A spokesperson later said per GOAL that they, too, expect Ten Hag to be let go by the club sooner rather than later.

“Based on his performance, it can’t be too long before Ten Hag is given the sack,” the spokesperson said. “It coincides with us gearing up for our busiest time of year, where we need people to join our team. We are looking for people who are results-driven … so not one for Ten Hag, unfortunately!”

United’s goalless draw at Villa Park followed their 3-0 thumping at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, and a 3-3 Europa League draw in midweek. When club football resumes, they will next face Brentford on 19 October.
