The PSL transfer window closed on 20 September, but free agents can still join clubs anytime.
These players, released by their former clubs, are attractive as they don’t require transfer fees, though some demand high salaries.
Scrolla.Africa lists five big-name free agents available for PSL clubs:
Keagan Dolly: The 31-year-old was released by Kaizer Chiefs in June. He almost joined SuperSport United, but the deal fell through.
Bongani Zungu: The midfielder left Mamelodi Sundowns after two seasons. He was rumoured to be heading to Turkey.
Samir Nurkovic: The 32-year-old left TS Galaxy as the transfer window closed. He’s close to joining SuperSport United.
Sifiso Hlanti: The defender left Chiefs after three seasons. His exit was criticised, especially after Bongani Sam replaced him.
Kermit Erasmus: The former Bafana Bafana international was released by Orlando Pirates after limited game time. A rumoured return to Cape Town City didn’t materialise.
