Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester United 3-0 in an utterly dominant display at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Boos rang around the Theatre of Dreams as early as the halfway point on the day as Brennan Johnson set Spurs away with the opener before Bruno Fernandes saw red for a reckless tackle on James Maddison.
Once the second half got underway, the visitors used both their advantages to prevent any late nerves.
They built on their lead through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke and may have had even more as ten of their 24 shots went on target.
The Red Devils have now lost consecutive league games without scoring at home for the first time in three years.
The seven points they have recorded in their opening six games is the joint lowest ever for a United team and continues to leave them lurking in the bottom half of the table.
Ange Postecoglou will look back on the away day as a positive one as his side move up into eighth on the table, five points off leaders Liverpool.
In the day’s earlier game, viewers were treated to a four-goal thriller as Ipswich Town and Aston Villa played out a 2-2 draw at Portman Road.
Ipswich went ahead through Liam Delap before Villa took control with goals from Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins.
The hosts finished stronger as Delap completed his brace; and there would be no winner as Unai Emery opted to withdraw his star men — perhaps with one eye on Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.
On Monday night football, Bournemouth host Southampton before an array of European fixtures await in midweek.
