The Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) party has hailed its court victory against Jabulani Khumalo in the Pretoria High Court.
Khumalo wanted to be retained as a signatory to the Standard Bank account of the Jacob Zuma-led party because he is appealing his April expulsion from the party.
However, the court turned down his application and issued a cost order, so he has to refund the party some of the money it used to defend the case.
In a statement, MK said the court win adds to its many victories in the last six months.
The party’s spokesperson, Nhlamulo Ndhlela, said: “It is clear that Khumalo is well funded by enemies of the MK party. He continues to collect punitive cost orders, and we welcome any indirect ANC donations to the coffers as we build the organisation.
“The MK party will continue to defeat the sell-out ANC of [President] Cyril Ramaphosa and its planted agents both in the courts and on the ground until the land and the economy are returned to their rightful owners, the African majority.”
Khumalo did not respond when asked by Scrolla Africa to comment on the allegations that the enemies of the MK Party fund him.
