Germany – Adele, 36, finished her European tour in Munich, Germany, and told fans she would take a long break to rest and enjoy her personal life. After almost three years of performances, including a residency in Las Vegas and record-breaking shows in Munich, Adele thanked her fans but said she needed time away from music. She will complete her final ten shows in Las Vegas before starting her extended break.

Australia – A 47-year-old animal handler was seriously injured after being bitten by a tiger at Dreamworld amusement park in Coomera, Australia, on Monday morning, just before the park opened. The handler suffered deep cuts and puncture wounds but is in stable condition after being treated at Gold Coast University Hospital. The United Workers Union pointed out the dangers faced by workers who handle wild animals. The park has nine tigers and had similar incidents in 2011 with the same Bengal tiger.

China – A bus lost control and crashed into a crowd of students and parents outside a middle school in Tai’an City, Shandong province, China, on Tuesday morning, killing 11 people and injuring 13 others. The victims included five students and six parents. The bus driver has been arrested, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

Kenya – Kevin Kangethe, 42, has been sent from Kenya to the United States to face charges for the murder of his girlfriend. Margaret “Maggie” Mbitu, a 31-year-old nurse from Massachusetts, was found dead in a parked car at Boston’s Logan International Airport in November, two days after she was reported missing. Kangethe fled to Kenya after her death and avoided capture for months. He was arrested in Nairobi in January but escaped, only to be caught again in February.
