65 arrested after 8 women raped, at music photoshoot in Krugersdorp

A total of 65 people have been arrested following the armed robbery and rapes of women who were on a music video shoot at an old, unused mine in Krugersdorp on Thursday.

One of the suspects was hospitalised for gunshot treatment, while two additional suspects were shot and killed after pointing firearms at police during a multidisciplinary operation on Friday.

Brigadier Brenda Muridili said at this stage, the suspects face charges related to contravention of the Immigration Act.

Two unlicensed firearms, explosives as well as other items that belong to the 12 women and 10 men who were attacked on set have since been recovered.
