57-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Parked Car With Gunshot Wound

Bedfordview police on the East Rand are currently investigating a tragic case of murder following the fatal shooting of a 57-year-old woman on Friday evening.

The discovery was made by police officers who were patrolling the area when they came across the victim’s vehicle parked on the side of the road.

Gauteng police spokesperson, Colonel Noxolo Kweza, reported that the police found the vehicle with a broken window and the woman shot on the side.

Tragically, she was certified dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.

Gauteng Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Tommy Mthombeni, has made a public appeal for any witnesses to come forward with information that could assist in the investigation.

He emphasized that the killing of innocent women is unacceptable and assured the public that no stone will be left unturned in the pursuit of justice. “Police will do everything in their power to ensure that the suspect/s are brought to book,” he stated.
