4 South African celebrities spotted at Paris Fashion Week

Some of the country’s most celebrated names in the entertainment industry have made their way onto the global stage, making their way to France for Paris Fashion Week.

At one of the biggest annual fashion events, South African designer Laduma Ngxokolo made history when MaXhosa Africa became the first local fashion brand to host a full runway show.

Along with him, a few South African celebrities attended the prestigious fashion show, some as viewers and some as performers.

Ama Qamata

The Blood and Water star strutted down the L’Oréal Paris runway in an elegant floor-length silver dress. The South African actress rubbed shoulders with supermodels and big names on the global stage, like Celine Dion and Kendal Jenner.

Siphesihle ‘Cee Cee’ Ndaba

South African actress Siphesihle ‘Cee Cee’ Ndaba shared an Instagram Story announcing that she was in Paris for the fashion show, showcasing a picture of the Eiffel Tower in her post. This followed her front-row appearance in Milan with fashion influencer Happy Lethabo and content creator Sinikiwe Mhlongo for The Pink Table, hosted by Brutal Fruit.

MaWhoo

The singer-songwriter was seen sitting in the front row at the MaXhosa Africa runway show on Monday, 28 September 2026. Born Thandeka Ngema, the Bengicela hitmaker was beautifully dressed in Maxhosa Africa, with a patchwork blazer, corset, and skirt.

Mawho performed the hit song at a Heritage Day celebration in France on 27 September ahead of the MaXhosa Africa runway show.

The rapper performed at the MaXhosa Africa show in an acoustic and soulful set infused with Maskandi vocals and an Afro-soul feel.
