19 family members die in North West horror crash

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) have confirmed that 19 family members died in a crash.
A head on collision involving a Quantam minibus and a truck occurred on Saturday evening.
The collision on the R34 highway between Shweizer-Reneke and Bloemhof will be investigated further.
At this stage the cause of the collision is unknown.
The collision is the latest in a series of horrific road deaths that have taken place since the beginning of the year.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula shared human factors contributed to almost 79% of fatal crashes.
The Minister released road traffic statistics at the beginning of the year for the 2021/22 festive season.
He said road factors contributed to 11% of road carnage whilst vehicle factors accounted for 10% of crashes.
Over the festive season 605 drivers were arrested for driving at excessive speeds of between 190km/hr to well above 220km/hr.
Last week 8 children died in a minibus crash in Mpumalanga.
