Five years after 22-year-old Anele Tembe died following a fall from a Cape Town hotel, the formal inquest into her death begins today at the Cape Town Magistratesโ Court.
The court is expected to examine evidence surrounding the circumstances of her death, with six witnesses subpoenaed to testify.
Anele was engaged to the late rapper Kiernan โAKAโ Forbes at the time of her death in April 2021.
Today, attention returns to the unanswered questions surrounding those final hours.
