The murder trial of Tiffany Meek has been postponed after the State advocate fell ill.

The Johannesburg High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge, has adjourned the matter to 26 and 27 October 2026, with proceedings scheduled to start at 09:30. Meek remains in custody.

The 32-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the murder of her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek, who was reported missing on 13 May 2025 and found dead the following day near their flat in Fleurhof. She also faces charges of child abuse, defeating the ends of justice and crimen injuria.

The latest postponement comes after an MDNtv exclusive report on a voice note in which Meek allegedly says, “I have access to my phone again.” The recording has raised questions about how she was able to communicate while in custody.
