A fresh allegation has emerged in the Reiger Park murder case after the Boksburg Magistratesβ Court heard that accused number one Reagan Cheslin Collis was allegedly found with a cellphone while behind bars for a second time.
Prosecutor Leswikane Mashabela told the court that the State had received correspondence from Boksburg Correctional Services concerning the alleged discovery.
Correctional Services reportedly considers possession of an unauthorised cellphone a security risk and the latest allegation could result in a further risk assessment and disciplinary action.
Collis previously denied an earlier allegation that he had been found with a cellphone in custody. His lawyer has now objected to the latest allegation being considered when the court determines bail.
Collis and his three co-accused remain in custody. Their bail judgment has been postponed to 6 October 2026.
