Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi, 40, is charged with alleged conspiracy to commit murder and murder. Stock was shot dead on 16 December 2025 outside the Zambesi Building near the Carlton Centre in Johannesburgโs CBD, where he had been overseeing security work at a disputed, allegedly hijacked building. Three suspects approached him before the shooting.
The State says Buthelezi described in court as the girlfriend of alleged mastermind Victor Majola forwarded Stockโs vehicle particulars and details to Majola. Investigators told court those documents later appeared on a phone linked to him. Stock had applied for a protection order against her before his death. Police issued a warrant and released her photograph in August after she could not be located. She had earlier been questioned and released.
Mozambican national Joaquim Armando Pacula, the alleged gunman, is already serving an effective 25 years after pleading guilty to shooting Stock for R25,000. Majola remains in custody after bail was refused. His pre-trial proceedings were postponed into mid-September.
