Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh and his wife, Sumaya Hendricks, welcomed their baby boy yesterday.

The name of the new member of the family has not been announced publicly yet.

The couple, who have been married for fourteen years, already have a toddler together, Hakim Thembekile Mpofu-Walsh, who is turning four years old on April 22.

37-year-old Mpofu-Walsh converted to Islam before marrying Sumaya.

Both partners have impressive CVs, having both obtained their doctorates and are at the top of their industries. Sizwe is a lecturer in the Department of International Relations at Wits University, a podcaster, an author, and a musician.

Sumaya is right beside her husband on the career front, working at the Nelson Mandela Foundation’s early childhood development (ECD) program as the team leader for discourse and advocacy, according to Kaya FM.
