Makhadzi’s stage attack leaves fans confused

Makhadzi attacked at a recent gig

A viral video showing Makhadzi in a tense on-stage moment has sparked widespread debate, with fans struggling to determine whether the incident was real or part of a planned performance.

The clip, which began circulating on 24 March, captures a man jumping onto the stage during her set at a Johannesburg venue.

In the footage, the individual appears to behave unpredictably, throwing items of clothing toward the singer and attempting to undress while she continues performing.

The video gained traction after being shared by blogger Musa Khawula, who claimed the star had been attacked by a drunk fan at D48 Bar & Grill in Midrand.

What stood out to many viewers, however, was Makhadzi’s reaction.

Rather than halting the performance or showing visible distress, she carried on with her routine, appearing largely unbothered by the disruption.

Equally puzzling was the response from those on stage.

Her dancers did not intervene and were seen smiling and filming, which led to speculation that the moment may have been staged or choreographed as part of the show.

The unusual scene quickly set social media alight, with users offering mixed reactions.

“And why did everybody just stand there and not help???” one user asked.

“She handled it well, though, glad she wasn’t hurt,” another commented.

Others questioned the authenticity of the situation, with one writing, “Was it a skit? No way people just stood there?”

The incident comes not long after the singer resumed performing following a car accident, making the clip even more concerning for some fans.
