Former Miss SA and Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow revealed how she and her husband, Tim Tebow felt bringing home their baby girl for the first time, in a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday 17 March.
DEMI-LEIGH TEBOW ON BRINGING BABY GIRL HOME
Former Miss SA Demi-Leigh and her husband Tim Tebow welcomed their baby girl Daphne Reign Tebow on 6 July 2025. Eight months later, the beauty queen reflected on what bringing their baby girl home for the first time felt like.
She revealed that Tim was extra careful when driving them home, checking the lane four times before actually changing. Demi explained that this was the overwhelming feeling of responsibility for a new baby. The Tebows live in the US.
“I took a video of Tim’s hands just being on the steering wheel. He was holding on to that thing for dear life. It was about the slowest I saw Tim drive,” she said.
“He checked like four times before crossing any lane,” she continued.
“There’s that overwhelming responsibility that you feel, not just for yourself or your partner, but for another human being,” she explained.
Demi went on to write that once they got home, they asked each other what’s next, but let their baby girl lead.
“A little over eight months ago, we brought our girl home for the first time. I remember looking at Tim when we got home and asking each other, “Alright, what’s next?” So much has changed since then, and she has grown so much. We’re still figuring it out day by day, but watching her grow into her personality has been the greatest joy. She’s our happy girl, and we are so grateful! 💕,” she wrote.
BABY TEBOW
Daphne Reign Tebow is Demi and Tim’s first child. The pair live in the US, but Demi was born in Sedgefield, a coastal town on the Garden Route in the Western Cape. She held her baby shower at La Motte, a wine farm in Franschhoek, Western Cape.
Demi and Tim met through his foundation – Tim Tebow Foundation after Demi-Leigh’s late sister, Franje, was invited to one of their events.
