Brendon Fourie joins Pirates from Stellenbosch

Orlando Pirates have reportedly beefed up their scouting department with one of local football’s finest in Brendon Fourie.

Fourie’s move from Stellenbosch FC to Orlando makes the third technician in under two years: 2024 saw Ruan Rust, Head of Performance and Devon O’Brien, a Performance Analyst.

According SABC Sports’ leading reporter Mazola Molefe, Fourie is set to offer the Buccaneers his expertise in scouting, performance analysis and developent.

“SABC Sport can reveal that Stellenbosch FC head of recruitment Brendon Fourie is set to join Orlando Pirates, following his farewell to the club over the weekend,” Molefe reported.

The report comes days after Fourie announced his exit from Stellies on social media: “I’m incredibly lucky to have had something that makes it so hard to say goodbye,” he said.

“It has been an incredible priviledge to work for and represent the club of my dreams, my hometown club, Stellenbosch FC.

“Thank you to the players, staff, our incredible fans and the Board for everything over the last 3.5 years. It’s been the best years of my life. God bless and see you soon,” he concluded.
