A-Reece has once again stirred conversation in the hip-hop scene after declaring himself “one of the greatest” to ever come out of South Africa.

The rapper took to social media with a message that left no room for doubt about how he views his place in the game.

“You can say whatever you want about me,” he wrote.

“You can, I’m broke, say I’m ugly, say I’m stupid, say I’m weird, say I’m overrated, call me names, disrespect me, whatever… All I know is that you can’t say I’m not the nicest when it comes to hip hop/rap. When it comes to this music sh*t, I really do this. I AM ONE OF THE GREATEST SOUTH AFRICA WILL EVER HAVE. And that’s all I ever cared about,” he concluded.

A-Reece has long been considered one of the most respected voices of his generation.

His discography, which includes projects like From Me To You & Only You, Today’s Tragedy, Tomorrow’s Memory and several acclaimed collaborations, has cemented his reputation as a lyrical powerhouse.
