The mighty Kaizer Chiefs are back in action just three days after their last outing, making the trip to Polokwane to face Magesi FC in the Betway Premiership at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The midweek clash, scheduled for Wednesday 15 April at 19:30, sees Amakhosi look to build on their recent momentum following a 2-0 win over TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium, where Flavio Silva and Glody Lilepo were on target.

Kaizer Chiefs have named a strong starting XI, with only a few adjustments despite the short turnaround between matches.

Brandon Petersen continues in goal, with Thabiso Monyane, Inacio Miguel, Aden McCarthy and Bradley Cross forming the back four. In midfield, Siphesihle Ndlovu partners Lebohang Maboe, while Mduduzi Shabalala takes up the attacking role.

Out wide, Glody Lilepo starts alongside Wandile Duba, with Flavio Silva leading the line once again.

Kaizer Chiefs XI: Petersen; Monyane, Miguel, McCarthy, Cross; Ndlovu, Maboe; Lilepo, Shabalala, Duba; Silva.

Substitutes: Bvuma, Frosler, Msimango, Cele, Mthethwa, Chilslett, Vilakazi, Velebayi, Mayo.

Magesi FC are yet to confirm their starting line-up.

WHY MAGESI AND KAIZER CHIEFS MEET AGAIN SO SOON

This fixture comes just 25 days after the two sides last met, following earlier changes to the schedule.

The original clash was meant for November 2025 but was postponed due to Kaizer Chiefs’ CAF Confederation Cup commitments. That reshuffle has now brought the return fixture closer, creating a quick turnaround between the two meetings.

Chiefs won the last encounter 2-0 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, with goals from Wandile Duba and Mfundo Vilakazi.

CAN KAIZER CHIEFS KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING?

Chiefs come into this match on a four-game winning run and looking confident as they push for a top-three finish.

Magesi, meanwhile, remain under pressure at the bottom of the table and are in need of points to boost their survival hopes.

With different pressures on both sides, it sets up another important night in the Betway Premiership.
