Her announcement quickly caught the attention of supporters and viewers who had grown used to seeing her on their screens every weekend morning.

MASECHABA MPOSWA ANNOUNCES HER EXIT

Mposwa joined Newzroom Afrika in March 2024 as the new Weekend Report anchor. She became part of the newsroom team to co-host the weekend breakfast show, the Weekend Report, which airs on DStv channel 405.

At the time of joining the channel, she shared her excitement about the new opportunity.

“I am happy to announce that I have joined the Newzroom Afrika team,” she wrote.

Her role on the programme made her one of the familiar faces viewers saw early on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

MASECHABA’S JOURNALISM CAREER

Mposwa who got married in 2024 to Ntethelelo Faku, has built a long and diverse career in the media industry. Over the years, she has worked as a producer, journalist, and media personality across several major broadcasters.

Her experience includes working with platforms such as e.tv, eNCA, and Power FM.

She has also hosted several programmes on the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). Some of the shows she hosted include the SABC 1 programme One Day Leader, the political documentary series Why Are We So Angry, Weekend Live on SABC 2, and The Big Break Legacy on SABC 3.
