Orlando Pirates starting 11 vs TS Galaxy

Orlando Pirates have a chance to return to the top of the Betway Premiership in Mbombela, but it will depend on how they respond after their last result.

They were held to a draw by Siwelele at Orlando Stadium after coming from behind, a result that felt slightly disappointing given their strong home form this season.

It was their first draw at home and it saw them drop from first to second place with nine matches remaining.

EYES ON TOP SPOT

Despite the Siwelele setback, Orlando Pirates remain within touching distance of the summit. The gap is just two points, which keeps the title race open heading into the final stretch of the season.

Their away form has been a key factor. Olrando Pirates are unbeaten in their last nine league matches on the road, a run that stretches back to the opening month of the campaign. During that period, they have collected 23 points from a possible 30.

They have also managed important wins away from home, including consecutive victories over AmaZulu, Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City.

A positive result in Mbombela would see Orlando Pirates return to the top of the standings ahead of the upcoming FIFA break.
