TS Galaxy v Orlando Pirates: Date, Kickoff time, Venue

Orlando Pirates face a crucial test this weekend when they travel to Mbombela Stadium to take on TS Galaxy.

After dropping points in their last outing, the Buccaneers have had a full week to regroup as they look to return to winning ways at a critical stage of the season.

Having spent much of the campaign at the summit of the Betway Premiership, Pirates now find themselves two points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Another slip-up against the Rockets could deal a major blow to their hopes of ending a 14-year league title drought.

When are Orlando Pirates playing TS Galaxy?

TS Galaxy will host Pirates on Sunday, 22 March at 15:30 at Mbombela Stadium, with the match set to be broadcast live on SuperSport.

Pirates’ struggles in front of goal remain a growing concern. Forwards Evidence Makgopa and Yanela Mbuthuma have both failed to consistently find the net, a factor that has contributed to dropped points in recent weeks.

A victory this weekend against TS Galazy could temporarily lift Pirates back to the top of the standings, albeit with Sundowns still holding a game in hand.

The Brazilians only return to league action in April, potentially offering Pirates a window to build momentum, provided they capitalise on it.

Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will also be hoping Sundowns’ involvement in the CAF Champions League takes its toll, potentially impacting their domestic form.

With nine matches remaining, the title race is far from decided, but Pirates can ill afford another stumble.

A match against TS Galaxy will showcase whether Pirates will take the title battle until the end.

Will Pirates bounce back?
