The citizenship and deportation battle involving former Miss South Africa contestant Chidimma Adetshina has taken a fresh turn after AfriForum confirmed receiving a formal request to intervene.
A group calling itself Concerned South African Citizens approached the civil rights organisation after claiming that previous letters to the DA and government departments went unanswered.
The request has been officially logged by AfriForum under reference AFK41089.
But there is an important distinction: AfriForum has NOT confirmed that it will take on the matter or launch legal action. At this stage, it has only acknowledged receiving and registering the request.
Adetshinaβs immigration status is already the subject of a legal battle, with her legal team challenging decisions affecting her status in the Western Cape High Court.
The controversy that began during Miss South Africa 2024 is now heading into yet another chapter.
Should AfriForum get involved in the Chidimma Adetshina citizenship dispute, or should the matter be left entirely to the courts?
